BEST HAIR STYLE COUNTDOWN FOR 2013

BEACHY WAVES

Now, everyone and there mother was and/or still is on this styling number.  You really can't go wrong with this hair style.  You can glam this hair up with a gown like Reese Witherspoon did on the red carpet, or make it sexy with a bikini.  Either way, you really can't go wrong wearing this look, unless you don't know how to do it.  I like "done, undone hair" where it looks like you didn't make it on purpose.  The products I found that helped me out a lot to achieve this look, is Oribe's Maximista (on roots), Grandiose Hair Plumpling Mousse (all over), Gel Serum (on ends, through crown root area), Texture by Bumble and Bumble (a little pea size on your finger tip to run thru roots specifically on your crown area), then use Oribe's Dry Texture Spray all over, then Apres Beach on your ends.  I have fine hair, but a lot of it.  Oribe's products are really concentrated so you don't need a lot.  I use a lot of product, because since my hair is fine it has a tendency to get really soft and silky, I have that typical Chinese hair so my hair can take a lot.

THE FAMOUS OMBRÈ

Again, this look can be really great if it's done right.  These are the most common images clients have brought to me for their inspiration for this look.  Everyone has their own interpretation of how this is done and how it should look.  If you trust your hairstylist then, mos def consult with them.  I love this look just because it can be done in so many ways, you can keep it looking fresh by changing it up every now and then.  It's also great for those who can't seem to make it to the salon for a routine touch up.  A correct ombre should look flawless, seamless, a melting effect.  No dip-die jobs here.

MOST DRAMATIC

COCO ROCHA

KARLIE KLOSS

JENNIFER LAWRENCE

PAMELA ANDERSON

BEYONCÈ

I love that even the Supermodels aren't afraid to chop their locks off.  I'd miss my hair too much and don't have the funds to keep around numerous hair pieces on the days that I'd like my hair long.  Been there, done that, I've had short hair for a period and it was fun while it lasted.  Try it if you haven't already, it can be really freeing for some people.

RED CARPET

These are my most stand out looks on the Red Carpet of 2013, especially Sarah Jessica Parker at the Met Gala.  I absolutely love her look at this event, fantastic.

Mahalo for a great hair year 2013! 2014? What do you got?

XOXO
